What is difference between white fused alumina and brown fused alumina?

White fused alumina is made of high-quality aluminum oxide powder, and white corundum is obtained by fused extraction and crystallization. It has high purity, good self-sharpening, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and stable thermal properties. White corundum hardness slightly higher than brown corundum, slightly lower toughness, high purity, good self-sharpening, grinding ability, small heat, high efficiency, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high temperature, and thermal stability.

Brown fused alumina is made of high-quality bauxite, anthracite, and iron slag, and it is made by arc smelting at 2000°C or higher temperature. It is crushed by a self-grinding machine and then iron-removed by magnetic separation. It is sieved into various grain sizes, and its texture is dense and its hardness is high. The pellets form a spherical shape and are suitable for the manufacture of high-concentration abrasives such as ceramics and resins, as well as grinding, polishing, sandblasting, and precision casting. They can also be used for the manufacture of advanced refractory materials.
